mmm.. steak....
Last Wednesday I was in Brisbane for a business trip and my boss Ian was kindly took me to this place called Breakfast Creek Hotel. He reckon it's the best place in Brisbane to have a steak.
The place itself is located on a small no through street near a bridge. It's not a grand hotel or anything. When we get inside, it's more like a pub complex with outdoor seatings rather than an actual hotel.
One shop however differ from the rest. This one has a cabinet on the front with different kind of meats on display. It's like going to a local butcher. So the concept here is to choose your own meat and they'll cook it according to your preference (rare, medium, medium-rare, etc) before your very eyes or you can choose to grab some drinks from any of the pubs around while you wait for them to cook your steak.
They provide different type of premium beef (with details of which town the beef comes from and what they feed the cow). I had the Wagyu Beef and Ian had the Platinum Dry Aged Beef. Each cost us $29.95
Yes, the steak is the best I've ever tasted and they cook the beef just as I wanted it to be. The meat is tender and juicy. Next time I'll come back for the Platinum!

Once we finished with our dinner, I have to go straight to the airport to catch my return flight. Meal for tonight is Penne with tomato, olives and egglplant. I didn't manage to finish the meal!! It's coz of the steak not the Penne (although you don't expect airline food to be nice anyway)
